Use.net Global.asax to configure EventLog readers
I have a system that needs to pull data from the event logs every x minutes. To do this, I need to use the System.Diagnostics.EventLogReader. But I can’t seem to find a way to do this without creating a Global.asax and doing it all in there.
Is there a way to set a property or something?
I know I can do this in the web.config, but I’m not familiar with that and I don’t know if that’s the best way.
I can’t find any System.Diagnostics properties in the Global.asax either.
I just don’t want to have to rebuild the entire website to do this.
I’m using the.NET framework 4.0.
Thanks.

Thanks for all the help.
I figured it out.
