KEYMACRO does not allow for individual “Fetched” links, so when the program is running, you can only click the file in the new list box.
The program does not work very well at the moment, so there are a few other limitations as well.

Windows Features:

It was created to be a replacement for winAMP’s Lossless Music Library Assistant. However, in the very short time of existence, it has gained support for many more music sources. There are currently 53. Still works 100%. I’m currently making the 3.0 release, where I intend to add source code documentation and general GUI changes. I hope to finish the 3.0 release soon, and then work on the 4.0 release which will be “GUI overhaul”.

I used to use it to build my library manually, but I found it less and less efficient over time, and with my library now being hundreds of thousands of songs large, Fetcher ended up taking up a lot of resources. I still occasionally use it to manually discover new music, but these days I mostly use it as a library-building utility.

For example, you can do the following (with all arts separated by a tab):

Fetcher also lets you browse through your music by artist, so you can check off the artists you already have, and get ideas of what new music to add. It’s a great tool for discovering new music.

If you don’t know where your music is, you can also use Fetcher to scan your entire music library. It’ll show you any CDs that you don’t own yet.

The Fetcher program is also fast and convenient at downloading art, but, if you use it long-term, you’ll likely end up with millions of entries in your database. To reduce this, the Fetcher program will default to using the first 1000 artists. You can change this value with the –start-artists command-line switch.

What’s New In Fetcher?

Here’s a basic description of how it works:

It first parses through your collection (list of files). If no songs are listed, it shows you an overview of all songs that do exist.
If you select a song, it then parses through the songs in your collection. For each song that is different than the selected song, Fetcher will display the information from the ‘new’ song.
If you select a track in a song, Fetcher will then parse through all the tracks in the song and list any tracks that are missing from your collection.

Like most online players, it also allows you to add, edit and delete tracks.

Future Version:

Im working on a future version of Fetcher that is much more polished. I would love to get feedback and ideas on how to improve it. Here’s what I am thinking.

– Updating of music in the library is much faster.
– A Song/File Browser (similar to iTunes).
– Ability to sort music by “Categories”
– Ability to Sort Tracks by “Album”, “Year” or “Artist”
– Ability to sort tracks by “Download Order”
– Ability to sort tracks by “Price”.
– Ability to Sort tracks by “Genre” or “Discogs ID”
– Integration with iTunes Match.

An example of how it could work:

You have an iPod with about 200 songs in it. You download a bunch of music from the internet, including a few Beatles albums.
